Blog Prompt: Cymbeline

What problems in Cymbeline have shaped your view of King Henry IV Part 1 (so far)? How so?

(some examples: old kings, surrogate fathers, vying princes, nationalist fantasies, honor/nobility and its outward or inward luster, war and peace, etc).

After you identify a shared topic, please tell me what you thought it was doing in Cymbeline and how it is influencing your reading of King Henry IV Part 1. As always, I want you to be specific. Use quotations from the plays (with citations, of course). And I want you to be analytical. Don't just tell me what happens, but why you think it happens that way, and what the effect is of its presentation in that form.

Keep within 300 words, and try to say something that reflects on your interests (as opposed to something everyone would notice and assent to).

See you Monday!
